Beautiful Britain is launching its 2010 photography competition, supported by Olympus and open to all photographers – amateur and professional. The winner will see their photographs published in Beautiful Britain, and will win an Olympus Pen camera worth £600.
You can enter a maximum of four images on any
subject on the theme of ‘The Changing Landscape’.
Photographs must be taken in Britain and will be judged
on their excellence, aesthetic appeal and originality;
preference will be given to photos taken in natural
conditions and that are not digitally altered. The
winning images will, in the judges' opinion, best
represent our theme – 'The Changing Landscape’.
The competition will be judged by leading photographers Mark Hamblin, Ross Hoddinott and Beautiful Britain’s art director, Tim Mapleston.
The competition is open to anyone, amateur
or professional, of any age and of any nationality.
The closing date is 28 July 2010. The winners will
be announced in the October 2010 issue.
Photographs (colour or black and white) can be
submitted as prints or digital files (on CD), by post only.
Finalists will be asked for high-resolution originals.
For digital files: images must be taken on a sufficiently
high resolution camera so they can be reproduced in at
least 300 dpi at A4 size. For analogue: original mounted
slides will be requested. No correspondence will be
entered into except with the competition winners.
